Save the Dates for 5th Grade End of Year Activities

To our Harrington 5th Grade Families:

The time has come......there are less than 60 days left for our children to enjoy Harrington Elementary!!!

It is time to start thinking about our 5th Graders "Stepping Up" to Middle School.....

Let's make it a memorable end to their time at Harrington...We are happy to announce the end-of-year celebrations put on by the 5th Grade Step-Up Activities Committee...Please SAVE THE DATES…

April Date TBD"Harrington Gives Back" 5th graders gather at Harrington School to collect nonperishable foods and make snack bags for local children who are using the services of a local food bank through Open Tables community outreach.

Friday May 10, 7-9pm - Epic Night: Dance and Movie Party at Harrington School

May Date TBD - Class Pool Party

Friday June 7, 12:30pm - 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony and Family Reception at Harrington School, including receiving a yearbook, a diploma, and a student gift. As well as a class gift to the school and teachers and administrators.

These events are supported by money earned by committee sales at school activities (Harrington Hurrah, Movie Night, International Night, Kindness Rocks, Buy a Brick) and by donations from our 5th Grade families.  Last year’s events cost about $9000 and we are well on our way to that…..

We are so proud to announce that 62% of families have donated to help our children celebrate. If you haven't already, and you are able to do so at this time, please consider donating $75-$100 to support the students' activities.

Consider donating by March 31st if you haven’t already.

Donate on Membership Toolkit (PTA) https://harringtonelem.membershiptoolkit.com

or via VENMO  Venmo @Harrington5thGrad

All children are invited to participate regardless of ability to donate.

Best regards,

The committee leadership team: Myha, Karen, Lori and Megan

Get ready for the next Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day!

Hello Harrington Community! The next Bike, Walk, and Roll to School date is May 1, 2024. We are encouraging families to use heart healthy and environmentally friendly alternatives to single occupancy vehicles on this date (and all days!). If you are interested in having your student walk to school on May 1 and/or interested in joining a more regular walk to school group in your neighborhood, please complete this form to express your interest. Our goal is to help connect families along similar routes to Harrington to encourage more students to walk to school.
